Here at Benetook Veterinary Clinic we have a large facility with all the equipment required to practice a vast range of diagnostic and surgical procedures. Our wonderful team of veterinarians and nursing staff are there to care for your pet.

Routine Procedures- Dogs, Cats and Exotics

  • Heartworm, parvovirus, FIV, FELV testing
  • Diabetic monitoring, pre-anaesthetic blood screens, diagnostic profiles, monitoring geriatrics
  • Microscopic examination- Cytology, blood smears, gram and diff quick stains, fluid analysis
  • Post Mortems

Radiology and Imaging

  • Radincon digital CR radiology, soft tissue and orthopaedic x-rays
  • Ultrasound with colour doppler, echocardiography, pregnancy diagnosis, abdominal imaging
  • Endoscopy with both flexible and rigid scopes for small animals

Medicine and Emergencies

  • Chemotherapy
  • Blood transfusions and fluid therapy
  • Traumatic injuries such as motor vehicle accidents, gun shot injuries, snake bites and poisonings

Patient Monitoring

  • Anaesthetic monitoring with pulse oximetry, capnograph, blood pressure and ECG
  • Anaesthetic nurses monitor and assist with all surgeries
  • Multiple infusion pumps for fluid therapy

Referral to Specialists for

  • Specialised medical diagnosis and imaging, MRI, CT
  • Specialist spinal and orthopaedic surgery, opthalmic surgery, cataracts, lens replacements 
  • Specialist laboratory diagnosis- histopathology, cancer diagnosis 

Hospitalisation

  • Separate dog and cat wards, inside and outside dog runs, outside exercise paddock for dogs
  • Intensive care and post anaesthetic monitoring cages 
  • Large isolation ward for infectious disease cases
  • Portable cameras for monitoring critical patients overnight

Euthanasia and Pet Cremation

  • Separate compassionate room for Euthanasia’s
  • Cremation available through Eden Hills Pet Cremation

Wildlife

Here at Benetook Veterinary Clinic we truly are a mixed practice. We also get the odd wildlife patient, from kangaroos, lizards, native birds, echidnas, turtles the list goes on. We are lucky enough to work closely with the Sunraysia Wildlife Carers group for rehabilitation and release.
